Comprehensive measurement platform to measure quality of life for people living with dementia.
Benten Technologies was awarded this Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Phase I and Phase II grant to develop a useful, practical, valid, and reliable tool to improve the quality of life (QOL) of people in dementia care settings for the Department of Health and Human Services.
In Phase II, our team enhanced the prototype developed in Phase I by integrating additional usability features to improve mOQOLD’s ability as a user-friendly software and procedures to collect and manage mOQOLD data and produce care-relevant information. Our team then evaluated the implementation of the improved mOQOLD software in ten dementia care settings in over seven months. Benten partnered with Mather Lifeways, Alzheimer’s Association, and Northwestern University to help with both the design and development of mOQOLD and recruitment for the pilot and evaluation studies.
