eMOM

From 2002 to 2015, non-prescription opioid use during childbirth skyrocketed by 5.5 times, posing a grave risk to newborns who often suffer from neonatal opioid withdrawal symptoms, leading to hospitalization.

To combat this crisis, we’re shifting the focus to prenatal care for pregnant women with opioid use disorder (PWOUD). Studies show that mHealth interventions during pregnancy can elevate self-management skills and improve patient-provider relationships, offering hope for better outcomes at lower costs.

Our mobile application, eMOM, is tailored for pregnant women with opioid use disorder. eMOM is designed to:

  • Empower Self-Management: Equip mothers with knowledge and skills crucial for healthier choices.
  • Strengthen Patient-Provider Bonds: Enhance interpersonal processes of care, fostering trust and communication.

With eMOM, we aim to revolutionize prenatal care for PWOUD, forging a path to healthier pregnancies, stronger bonds, and brighter futures
